About Kids Corner

Welcome to Kids Corner!

“The question is, are we happy to suppose that our grandchildren may never be able to see an elephant except in a picture book?” – David Attenborough

We believe that young people are the drivers of change. A generation of empowered youth will become the generation that changes the world. That’s why we have created Kids Corner; an online educational classroom that is inspiring young people from all over the world to participate in wildlife and environmental conservation.

My Green World’s Kids Corner catalyses new leadership in wildlife and environmental conservation; inspiring dialogue, creating unique educational content and providing collaborative problem-solving opportunities. It is critical that we build upon the wildlife and environmental education resources to prepare today’s youth with the knowledge, experience and connections to meet the challenges that will define their generation.

We believe that education – and access to education – play a fundamental role in addressing global wildlife and environmental problems. By ensuring that young people are equipped with the necessary tools, resources, skills and support, we are raising a generation of youth that are ready to deal with global ecological issues, while fostering a more engaged, compassionate, and empowered community. We represent a change to the status quo; utilising online technologies to achieve tangible results in nature conservation.

Kids Corner offers a suite of programs that provide educational institutions, children and families with an enjoyable and creative way of learning about global wildlife and environmental issues.

One of the greatest challenges of our time is currently unfolding as ecological devastation threatens wildlife, habitats and humanity. Wildlife populations are dwindling as temperatures rise, habitats erode, and natural resources become threatened. Humanity is on a perilous trajectory beyond planetary limits, and scientists are warning us that we are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event – though this time, humanity is responsible.

The challenges that our society faces in the midst of such catastrophic events can only be addressed by acknowledging the barriers that young people are faced with when trying to connect with these issues. It was this knowledge that inspired us to dedicate our existence to developing programs and resources that would empower and educate young people so they may actively participate in global wildlife and environmental conservation issues.
