About Kat Knight

My Green World Creative Manager

With eleven years of experience and a lifelong interest in sustainability issues, Kat has spent her entire career supporting pioneering companies and people. Holding a Masters Degree in Design Management from the University of the Arts London, Kat’s core strengths lie in marketing communications and the delivery of creative projects/events. Her profession began in London with the ethically driven clothing label THTC (currently ranked UK’s most ethical menswear brand by Ethical Consumer Magazine). Kat then went on to work closely with Dr. Charlotte di Vita, MBE – a highly regarded social entrepreneur and CEO of 21st Century Leaders. With a roster of royalty, celebrities, and eminent business leaders 21st Century Leaders has raised over $100 million for high-profile causes around the world. Born and raised in the UAE, Kat’s involvement with 21st Century Leaders coincidentally took her back to the Middle East when the Foundation moved its headquarters to Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, the world’s first planned sustainable city. Standout achievements in the region include assisting with the coordination of a celebrity auction prize at the Royal Family of Qatar’s annual charity event, which raised $1million. Kat has also accrued indispensable experience from the corporate world. A four-year stint working for tech and data-driven digital marketing agency has given her a valuable commercial perspective. As Director of Creative Services, highlights at this Dubai-based agency included winning a Silver Effie Award for Effective Marketing in 2015 in the category of Travel, Tourism & Transportation. Since arriving in Australia in March 2017, Kat has continued to seek out initiatives she believes in and volunteers her time to Tamil Feasts, a social enterprise that aims to help alleviate pressures on asylum seekers in Melbourne, and the wildlife charity Balu Blue Foundation. Happiest outdoors, Kat is naturally passionate about conservation and is most inspired when design makes a difference socially and environmentally.
