FAME (Foundation for Australia’s Most Endangered species) actively supports projects within Australia that will save endangered wildlife, working in partnership with a wide range of like-minded organisations. Priority projects include the restoration of the Western Quoll, a top predator, to arid Australia after more than 100 years of local extinction. FAME is the only organisation dedicated to saving endangered species in Australia and their vision is to prevent any further extinctions of Australian wildlife. FAME has helped bring more than 20 Australian species back from the brink of extinction. FAME aims to restore and protect areas of natural habitat, reintroduce populations of mammals native to those areas, and promote research and education of Australian environments and wildlife.
